Liz Kane

My journey behind the chair began at the prestigious Van Michael Salon in Atlanta, where I built a strong foundation rooted in technical excellence and artistry. After years of honing my craft, I took a creative detour into culinary arts and media, expanding my passion for aesthetics and storytelling in new ways. But hair has always been home—and when I returned, I brought with me a broader vision and deeper appreciation for the power of transformation.

Back in the salon world, I freelanced and managed salons across Florida before opening my own space, Bar Bee Shop, in 2020. Launched during the chaos of COVID, it quickly earned rave reviews and a loyal clientele, thanks to a vibe that was equal parts skill, soul, and style. Though I was later priced out of my lease, the love and momentum behind the brand remain strong. For now, I take private appointments only, offering a more personal and curated experience for each client.

I’m known for precision cutting—with the pixie being a standout favorite—but I also thrive on creating long, layered shapes and fashion-forward shags that bring movement and individuality to every look. Men’s cuts are a personal favorite, and when it comes to color, I do it all: from sun-kissed Florida blondes to polished vivids, and complex corrections that restore hair’s brilliance.

As I thoughtfully search for my next salon home, I’m focused on finding the right fit—somewhere aligned with creativity, integrity, and connection. Until then, I’m grateful to continue doing what I love, one beautiful transformation at a time.
